The Tope is one of the hardest fighting fish found in our waters of the Thames Estuary the premier area in the UK for this species and record holder of eighty two and a half pounds for this fish!
With up to seventy pound not uncommon and fish to thirty-five pounds regularly caught, tackle and anglers are put to the ultimate test!

Mid July is the best period with chances of a return fish in mid August. The cost is a little more than our regular fishing trips as distances to steam are much more with approximately fifty mile round trips.
